whenever I am pregnant that somone on ER loses or has immense trauma having a baby. It's the ad break and Abby has just started bleeding and is going into premature labour with abruption. With Oscar Carter lost his baby......ARGH!
I love this show. But it does my head in...why can't anyone have a baby. Just HAVE a baby. Nicely. And be happy? Instead of making my paranoia kick in and spoiling my enjoyment....

Oh yes I totally agree, when I was having Jack Sarah of Corrie and Lynn on Eastenders both had babies about 8 weeks early which both died and I was about 28 weeks at that point and knew that I might only get to about 32 weeks and lo and behold a few weeks later out popped Jack at 32 weeks and of course you can't help but think of the possibility that he may not make it but tv drama is exactly that "DRAMA!", 99.99% of babies are born absolutely fine and dandy, even at 32 weeks I knew that Jack had a 95% chance of survival (it's slightly higher for girls) but for some reason the bad thoughts always override the good ones.
You feel compulsed to watch these things, Holby City was always the worst, though the maternity ward is no longer featured

I am so glad I forgot to watch it now babe, it sounds awful. I've been avoid things as much as possible but they do tend to slip things in when you least expect it.
As the PP said 99.9% are born fine but I am only just coming to really feel/realise this as we are bombarded daily - so add that to my own experience and I am amazed the human race keeps going!
Hope it didn't upset you too much sugar. I'll maybe give you a ring later if you are in?
That's why you should watch "Scrubs" instead. You get all the medical stuff, but babies are healthy AND you laugh--which causes good endorphins to flow. :)
I just don't even watch anything that I think might even remotely freak me out. I watched an episode of "Six Feet Under" the other night where a baby died and I was a complete wreck...
Best of luck tomorrow, sweet girl! Love you!
